Your favourite piece of technology

My favourite piece of technology is my smartphone because the technology that it has and the internet that it use (which is a very powerful tool) let me have anything I want in there, like applications that I would decide to install.

I got it for one and a half  wonderful year. And I gave it so much uses, like listen to music and watch its videos if I want to, on vacations I watched so many series and movies with it, find information about many subjets, or chat with friends or cousins in other country. The last one is very important because I'm not losing contact with people that I care.

I use it all day long, because, for exaple, if I need to know where the next class is, i get into u-cursos and then it show me where I have to go, or if my mom needs me to come to her job, she writes me a whatsapp and instantly I know why she wrote and I can write her an answer.

I like it because everything is on the moment, and I'm a little impatient :) so I don't have to wait for having an information or listen to a song that I could have sticked on my mind.

I can't imagine my life without it! Maybe it could turn more boring or I would find something else for have fun.

(Is distressing when people get self-absorbed)

Why did you choose your career?

This is a hard question when you are 17 years old, but when you was a child the same question seems easier.

When I was 5 years old I wanted to be a journalist because I was interested in everything around me, like world  news on TV, the meaning of people feelings, or daily phenomenas that I watched, for example: things with the plants and insects on the yard. I tried to know why happened everything.

Then I grow up and realized that journalism wasn't the better profession to choose because it doesn't going to answer all the quiestions that I had. Besides I was interested to be an international (I liked different languages) reporter, like war cover; but it was dangerous. It was a beautiful career, but not for me.

By the same time I started to be more interested in science because the most part of the time it explained why things happens. Also I knew that I liked a lot being with people and teach them because the feeling of know that someone else understood what you explained (about things that you are interested for) is amazing.

Through secundary school I liked science, specifically chemistry (and a little bit of biology). So when I was searching careers I choose Pharmacy. But also I wanted to teach. Then I get confused about my future: being a  pharmacist or a teacher.

Finally I choose Pharmacy because in the future I could work in so much places (for example: hospitals, drugstores, industry; even in other country) than being teacher.

Until now I can say that I made the right decision, I like all that I had learnt about what a pharmacist does.

After I have my degree, I will study for teaching. Then I could teach chemistry, being a pharmacist.

Getting to know each other

Hi, my name is Cristina. I born in Iquique, then I lived in Ovalle, and finally I moved to Santiago in 2003. My family is my mom, sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew; and we all live together since he born, in 2013.

My hobbies are make crafts, watch movies or some series like Friends, take naps, go out with my friends; and my favourite one is be with my 8 years old niece and 4 years old nephew.

I like to go to a little hill near to my house with them. On vacations we have so much fun playing together and eating a lot of sweets. But when my niece and I come back to school we can't do it anymore because we don't have more time. Although, we still try to share time, going to the supermarket or riding bike for a while.


When I was on the school, Liceo 1 Javiera Carrera, I wanted to get in University of Chile, specifically on Chemistry and Pharmaceutical career. And now I'm in! I hope to have my degree soon as possible.

In the future I want to travel around the world (all the continets) and meet new people. Beside help with my occupation.
